Responsible Computer Use
Students must log on to all computers and equipment USING THEIR OWN USERNAME and PASSWORD, acknowledging that they will follow Amity's Acceptable Use Policy. NEVER share usernames or passwords.
Use of any technology using someone else's account is a serious violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, and, most importantly, it puts your identify and information property at risk. In the workplace, it is a serious violation that could result in firing, since it opens up company data and systems to unauthorized use.
Library computers are used for academic or personal INFORMATION SEEKING only (no gaming or entertainment media).
Remember:
ALWAYS use your own username and password to log on to technology.
ALWAYS lock your computer if you leave it logged on.
ALWAYS log out of any online accounts when you leave your computer.
ALWAYS use only technology that YOU have logged on to.
ALWAYS keep your user name and password a SECRET from everyone.
ALWAYS click only on email links that you have reason to believe are safe.
ALWAYS save documents to a personal drive (Microsoft, Google, etc.).
NEVER give personal data in unsecured communications, or to other people, without first talking to parents or teachers.
NEVER use your name or personal information online without discussing it with a parent or teacher.
